In 2018, I was immensely grateful to be accepted for the Curtis Brown Creative Novel-Writing course with Suzannah Dunn. Not only was Suzannah supportive, creative and constructively encouraging, the CBC group I was lucky enough to be part of have formed another writers’ group. So now, we have talented writers from all over the world – the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Germany, Belgium – who not only love books and writing, but are willing to provide insightful feedback on each other’s drafts. More than a writers group, it has become a global friendship with, among other things, a goal to see everyone published.

I applied for this course to boost my transition from journalism and non-fiction books into novel writing. Soon, I’ll be finished the novel I’ve been working on and look forward to feedback from the group (among others) before I take it to the next level.
